Zelma M. Jones
Zelma M. Jones of Murray, Utah, died Aug. 22, 1999, at the Falls Creek Campground near Swan Valley, Idaho. She was 82.
On Oct. 14, 1916, in Bowie, Texas, she was born the daughter of Robert Allen and Kathleen Elizabeth (Pillow) Sisk.
On June 15, 1934, she married Jesse Harold Jones. They lived in Craig, Colo., from 1957 to 1974. They operated the A-1 Laundromat.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (David) Stanger of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Dana Terrill of Murray, Utah, Barbara (BJ) Hansen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Karen (Ron) Neisler of Sandy, Utah, and Leah Jones (Sue) West Jordan, Utah; son, Gary L. Jones of Yuma, Ariz.; brothers, Cecil Sisk and Steve Sisk; sisters, Flossie Rhinehart and Lucille Thomas; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, one being Mike Terrill of Craig.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ovy Sisk; and sister, Florence Lee.
Services were held Aug. 29, 1999, at the home of her daughter, Karen Neisler, in Sandy, Utah.
After two days of competition at the Colorado State High School Rodeo Association State Finals, riders and ropers from Moffat and Routt counties are making their way into the home stretch.
