Ray Arthur Hobson
1926-1999
Ray Arthur Hobson of Craig, Colo., died Oct. 27, 1999, west of Maybell, Colo. He was 72.
On Dec. 20, 1926, in Blackfoot, Idaho, he was born the son of Arthur Ray and Lenora Bertha (McClure) Hobson. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of World War II.
On June 24, 1946, in Tacoma, Wash., he married Dorthy E. Olson. He worked for Sears Roebuck Company for many years and was the minister of the Maybell Bible Church.
Hobson is survived by his wife, Dorthy; daughter, Judy (Robert) Attaway of Stockton, Calif; sons, Ray Hobson Jr. of Stockton and Steven (Lillie) Hobson of Stockton; sister, Stella Hobson of Maybell; brothers, Bill Hobson of Maybell and Ben Koch of Stockton, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held Nov. 1, 1999, at Maybell Bible Church. Pallbearers were Don Seick, Bob Harding, Don Turner, Dave O’Conor, Wilson Morris and Don Black. Interment was at Maybell Cemetery.
