James Walter Brazelton
James Walter Brazelton of Hayden, Colo., died Nov. 25, 1999, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig, Colo. He was 88.
On Aug. 3, 1911, in Rapid City, S.D., he was born the son of Jordan M. and Cecil (James) Brazelton. He was raised and attended school in Oklahoma.
On March 5, 1938, in Woodard, Okla., he married Eva B. Barnacascel. They moved to Hayden in the late 1930s. He worked for Bear River Valley Co-Op for many years.
Brazelton is survived by his wife; sons, James E. (Barbara) Brazelton of Hayden, Jerry L. Brazelton of Denver and Michael R. (Carol) Brazelton of Dallas, Texas, and foster son, Dick McCllellan of Fort Collins, Colo.; brother, Raymond Brazelton of Green River, Wyo.; sister, Lessie Irene Baird of Grand Junction, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis and Kenneth; and sister, Elsie Marie.
No services were held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hayden Church of Christ in care of Grant Mortuary.
Dinner for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hayden Church of Christ.
