Donald E. Doolin
Donald E. Doolin of Craig, Colo., died Nov. 26, 1999, at his home. He was 68.
On Oct. 9, 1931, in Vernal, Utah, he was born the son of Lamont and Lucy (Kendall) Doolin. He was raised in Vernal, Rawlins, Wyo., Baggs, Wyo., and Hayden, Colo., where he was graduated from high school in 1951. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.
On Feb. 6, 1954, in Hutchinson, Kan., he married Mary Hinkle. He worked at the Hayden Power Plant as a supervisor. He moved to Craig five years ago.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Debra Eads of Grand Junction, Colo.; sons, John (Teresa) Doolin of Craig and Ed Doolin of Craig; and brothers, Bill Doolin of Hayden, Norm Doolin of Ogden, Utah, and Dean Doolin of Craig.
Doolin was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held Nov. 30, 1999, at the Mission of Grace Baptist Church in Hayden.
Pallbearers were Phil Hinkle, Lee Doolin, Shawn A. Hinkle, Chester Hinkle, Doug Doolin and Bradley Brandon.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Murphy, Jeremy Hinkle, David Doolin, Joshua Hinkle, Dustin Hinkle and Joe Walz.
Interment was at Hayden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice in care of Grant Mortuary in Craig.
As the United States honors the many individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day, multiple ceremonies in Moffat County will pay tribute as part of the holiday.
