Donald D. Chandler
1913-1999
Donald D. Chandler of Craig, Colo., died Oct. 19, 1999, at his home. He was 85.
On Oct. 20, 1913, in Sterling, Colo., he was born the son of Burl C. and Bessie (Parkins) Chandler. He grew up in Bridgeport, Neb., and Central City, Neb., graduating from high school there in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in England for three years during World War II.
On April 21, 1935, in Craig, he married Adlee Rogers. He was a bookkeeper for Furlong Hardware, J.J. Stanton Trucking, Rogers Hardware and Cashway prior to his retirement.
Chandler is survived by his wife and sister, Evelyn Ehlers of Longmont, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruby.
Services were held Oct. 23, 1999, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Interment was at Craig Cemetery.
