Obituary – Derald D. Kinderknecht

Derald D. Kinderknecht
Derald D. Kinderknecht of Hayden, Colo., died Sept. 27, 1999, at his home in Hayden. He was 61.
On Sept. 29, 1937, in Menlo, Kan., he was born the son of John and Alta (Thomas) Kinderknecht. He grew up in Telluride and Hotchkiss, Colo. He was graduated from high school in Hotchkiss. He served in the U.S. Army and was in Korea following the Korean War.
On Nov. 6, 1958, in Paonia, Colo., he married Edith Walters. They lived in the Craig and Hayden area for the past 40 years. He worked at Cyprus Twentymile Coal Company.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Terrill (Kevin) Woodbury of Grand Junction, Colo., Mona Kinderknecht of Tuscon, Ariz., Debbie (Randy) Yates of Electra, Texas, and Sherry Kinderknecht of Hayden; son, Randy Kinderknecht of Stephenville, Texas; mother, Alta Rehfeld of Montrose, Colo; brothers, Elden of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Eugene Kinderknecht of Delta, Colo; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers-in-law.
He was preceeded in death by his father and a brother, Earl.
Services were held Oct. 1, 1999, at Grant Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Craig in care of Grant Mortuary.
