“No Excuse for Abuse,” walk shows support for domestic violence awareness

A group of about 20 gathered in the brisk night air at Craig City Park Friday evening for the Advocates Crisis Support Services domestic violence awareness walk.

Starting at City Park, the group clad in purple and armed with led lights, marched down Victory Way, led by a banner that said, "No Excuse for Abuse!"

October, which along with breast cancer awareness month, is also domestic violence awareness month.

Those walking did so to show their support for victims in domestic violence situations, knowing how difficult it can be to escape such a situation.

The walk ended at the Moffat County Courthouse, where a survivor of domestic violence shared her story in a presentation to the group.
