The Newspaper in Education pages scheduled to run today have been moved back one week. They will appear in the Tuesday, Feb. 13 paper.

Do you have a great romantic story?

Do you have a great love story? How you met? How you’ve stayed together? A special date? Send a brief story (150 word limit) to the Craig Daily Press about your romantic tale as we count down to Valentine’s Day. Photos are encouraged. At least one story will be turned into a feature. Email stories to jraehal@craigdailypress.com, or send or drop off stories at the Daily Press office, 466 Yampa Ave.

Foundation giving away 10 spruce trees

The Arbor Day Foundation is giving away 10 free Colorado Blue Spruce Trees to persons joining the National Arbor Day Foundation during February.

The 6- to 12-inch trees will be shipped in time for planting between March 1 and May 31 and are guaranteed to grow or they will be replaced free of charge.

Members also receive a subscription to Arbor Day, the foundation’s bimonthly publication, and The Tree Book, with information on tree planting and care.

To become a member send a $10 contribution to Ten Free Colorado Blue Spruce Trees, National Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Avenue, Nebraska City, Ne. 68410 by Feb. 28. Join online at http://www.arborday.org.

Rifle Snowmobile Club’s Poker Run is Feb. 18

The Rifle Snowmobile Club’s 14th annual poker run starts at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, with starting points at Rifle, Silt and New Castle.

Cards are $6 per hand or $20 for four hands. Cash prizes paid to top four finishes.

Parking is at Rifle Creek and West Elk Creek Trailheads, and hands can be purchased at Huffman Gulch and Corral Park Station No. 5 at 9:30 a.m.

Speech team seeks judges for tournament

The Moffat County High School Speech and Debate Team seeks judges for the district tournament it will host later this month.

The tournament runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 16 and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 17 at the high school, 900 Finley Lane.

Judge training is from 7 to 8 p.m. Feb. 15 at the high school.
