Annual golf tournament to be held

The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office wil1 be hosting the 18th annual Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Each year, the department hosts this tournament to raise funds to award scholarships to Moffat County High School graduates.

The golf tournament will be held June 4 at the Yampa Valley Golf Course. The golf tournament will be a four-man scramble format team event. Other events will be long-drive and closest-to-the-pin contests and a chipping pond. Other surprises may await participants.



Anyone interested playing golf is invited to attend. No golf handicap is required, and an ability to play golf is not even necessary (as proven by some past participants.)

Interested competitors can call Rick Holford at 826-2308, K.C. Hume at 826-2310 or Jerry Hoberg at 826-2306. Entry forms can be picked up at the golf course or the Sheriff’s Office. More than $48,000 in scholarships have been awarded.



Everyone is invited join in this fun event. All proceeds from the fundraiser go to to the scholarship fund.
