Get help quitting tobacco this week
This is National Through with Chew Week, a week that offers help to those who want to give up the habit. For residents of Moffat and Routt, Northwest Colorado VNA is partnering with several area dentists to offer free oral screenings for chew or dip users who are concerned about their health and want information about quitting. People are asked to call this week to schedule an appointment for a screening to be conducted in the coming weeks. The following dental offices have offered to conduct free screenings: Rabbit Ears Dental, 879-5630; Yampa Valley Dental, 879-4703/824-5513; and Northwest Colorado Dental Care Clinic 824-8000 (for clients 21 and younger). For more information, call VNA’s tobacco cessation coordinator Teresa Wright at 871-7639.

The selection committee will base its decision on leadership skills, community involvement, academic achievement and financial need.
