Clerk no longer mailing notices

The Moffat County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will stop sending license plate renewal notices through the mail effective Jan. 1.

Drivers will have to check their plates and registration to know when their license plate tags should be renewed.

To renew vehicle registration, drivers can stop by the clerk’s office, 221 W. Victory Way.

Drivers should bring their registration and proof of insurance to renew registration.

The change is the result of budget cuts, said Clerk and Recorder Elaine Sullivan.
