New assistant fire chief named in Hayden
Steamboat Springs — Trevor Guire has accepted the position of assistant fire chief with the West Routt Fire Protection District.
Guire will fill the position that was vacated by Dal Leck, who was promoted to chief.
Leck said Guire has been a volunteer with the department since 2006 and has been the training officer.
Guire, a Hayden resident, is currently a full-time firefighter with Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and is resigning for the job in Hayden.
“We’re all excited to have him on board,” Leck said.
