Neita Drake: Craig
I wanted to say a few heartfelt thanks to some very deserving people. First, I would like to thank the coaches of the Moffat County football team: Kip Hafey, Ron Linsacum, Chris Dralle, Matt Ray, Lance Scranton, Gary Torgerson and Tom Wells.
I think the time and devotion you give to these boys is great. You can tell by watching them that you have earned their respect. They play with all of their hearts for you and one another. A very special thanks to Mr. Torgerson for all of your hugs and encouragement toward these boys. I am not sure who has more fun, you or the boys, but it is not hard to see you have earned a very special place in all their hearts.
Also to Burkie Wynkoop, Tony Maneotis and Gary Tague who played a big part in a lot of their junior high football years and still are there to cheer on and give hugs of support when the game doesn’t go our way — thank you.
I would also like to thank the football team for giving us such a great and memorable season. Freshmen, junior varsity and varsity players, you have reason to be proud of yourselves. I know all fans are extremely proud. You may not have won the state title, but you definitely earned the title of champions. To support one another and come together the way you have all year is something not all teams get to experience. Your shirts say “Heart,” which you have demonstrated many times over, I think poise, pride and character also are words that describe your team (family). Thanks for the memories, guys; 2004 will be a year of Bulldog football that will be remembered for many years!
