Neilson: Highly recommended

To the editor:

This letter is in support of Carol Scott who is running for Moffat County Assessor.

I have known Carol for seven years. Carol has an excellent relationship with assessors throughout the state of Colorado.

Carol has worked at the Moffat County Assessor’s Office for 13 years and has held the positions of property transfer clerk, personal property and mobile home appraiser, staff appraiser and deputy assessor.

Rio Blanco and Moffat counties work very closely together on issues that involve both counties, such as coal mine and oil and gas valuations.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

I have found Carol to be very knowledgeable about state assessed properties, coal mines, agriculture, residential, and oil and gas valuation. She knows the duties of the assessor’s office well.

I recommend Carol very highly to be your next Moffat County Assessor.

Renae T. Neilson

Rio Blanco County Assessor
