Myrtle Adele Chandler

Craig resident Myrtle Adele Chandler died Dec. 9, 2002, in her home. She was 85.

Chandler was born on Feb. 13, 1917, in Pearsall, Texas, to John C. and Annie (Lippard) Rogers. She was raised and attended school in Craig.

Chandler attended beauty school in Denver, graduating in 1938. She worked as a hairdresser in Denver and in Craig, retiring in 1974.

She married Donald Chandler on April 21, 1935, in Craig.

She enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church.

Chandler is survived by her sister, Barbara Crouch, of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, James C. (Ronnie) Rogers, of Craig and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Clayton Lee and Ray Eldon and her husband, Donald Chandler.

Services were Dec. 13, 2002, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Steve Bell officiating.

Selections were “Life Without End at Last” and “Keep Your Eyes On the Prize.”

Interment followed at Craig Cemetery.
