Museum of Northwest Colorado: A request for help

To the editor:

The Museum of Northwest Colorado is completing an exhibit related to a roadblock by local law enforcement, in November 1947. This roadblock resulted in the arrest of three men and one woman, wanted for a series of robberies and car thefts in two states. The stop was made as the car came into Craig from the north on Colorado Highway 13 in front of the National Guard Armory, now the location of the Museum of Northwest Colorado.

We have information and a photograph of the Moffat County Sheriff, Claude R. “Butch” Johnston. However, we have very little information on, or photographs of, Night Marshall Art Blue and Highway Patrolman Glen Bishop.

If you know anything about either of these two individuals, please call the Museum at 970-824-6360, or email us at
