Multiple agencies converge on fire west of Steamboat

Multiple agencies were being mobilized Monday afternoon in response to a new wildfire west of Steamboat Springs. Information was limited as of 5 p.m., but based on scanner traffic, authorities were carrying out house-to-house evacuations on Routt County Road 52 from its intersection with U.S. Highway 40 north to Routt County Road 52. Based on scanner traffic and preliminary reports, the fire was located northeast of Hayden and northwest of Milner.
