Mores celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary
Friends and relatives of the More’s are encouraged to stop in, share some refreshments and stories and congratulate them.
LaVergne and Virginia were married Nov. 28, 1939. LaVergne is originally from Steamboat Springs, the son of Frank S. and Ada More. He grew up working on ranches in Pleasant Valley. Virginia, daughter of William S. and Elizabeth Green, is originally from Hayden where the Green family received the 100-year Pioneer Ranch award.
The More’s lived and worked on ranches in Hayden and Steamboat Springs until the family moved to Fort Collins in 1952 where LaVergne was a heavy equipment operator and Virginia was a restaurant cook and manager for many years.
They retired in Craig in 1979. Come by to offer congratulations.
As the United States honors the many individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day, multiple ceremonies in Moffat County will pay tribute as part of the holiday.
