Hometown: Born and raised in Craig

How did you get started in your career:

“I got started at the antique store across the street, Treasure’s Antiques years ago. I had a little booth and I made Barbie doll furniture and now I own it. I love old things. I like restoring old furniture; it’s what I mostly love.”

Motto or outlook on life:

“I like to be nice to people. Treat people the way you want to be treated.”

Favorite thing about Northwest Colorado:

“I really like the small town and the people.”

Least favorite:

“The winters.”

Improvement you’d like to see in the area:

“More variety of places to eat.”

Favorite thing about working with antiques:

“My favorite thing we’ve ever done dealing with our business is we got to clean out an old guy’s attic that the stuff had been in there since his great-grandmother had the house. That’s our favorite time is going in somewhere and clearing out what people have saved.”

Why should people consider shopping for antiques or second hand items:

“Our store is very diverse. You can do so much redecorating just by changing a few things around in a room. You don’t have to go out and spend a lot of money just to change things up. We’re always changing and getting fun new things and we’re very reasonably priced.”
