Momma Outfitters fall sale even bigger for Moffat County families
A new event is slowly but surely becoming a favorite for Moffat County.
The Momma Outfitters consignment sale hosted by Hope Pregnancy Center brought in shoppers and sellers alike Thursday through Saturday at the Moffat County Fairgrounds grandstands.
The fall sales event was the second one of the year for the organization, which recruited area mothers to sell some of their family goods — toys, clothing, baby goods and more — and maybe pick up some more materials in the process.
“We had a more consistent stream of traffic than our first sale, and we doubled our consignors,” said Amanda Rizzuto, office manager for the pregnancy center. “The quality of our sale continues to improve with each new consignor and we are already planning for the spring sale.
The concept of a consignment sales event can be challenging to communicate to the public, but our community is starting to catch on and this is shaping up to be an amazing community event.”
Rizzuto added that participants saw some “big paychecks” for consignors, while the format also was able to benefit.
“The pregnancy center was blessed with yet another successful fundraiser,” she said. “We would love more feedback from those that shopped the sale. We want focus our efforts with consignors to deliver an even better sale in the spring.
