— A respected Craig doctor will soon have more time to focus on patient care.

Dr. Larry Kipe and the employees of Moffat Family Clinic will join Memorial Regional Health after the purchase of Moffat Family Clinic.

“Dr. Kipe is a well-respected member of the medical staff and community and we are looking forward to the leadership he will continue to bring… as an employed physician,” Memorial Regional Health CEO Andy Daniels said in a statement.

The board of trustees approved the employment agreement and purchase of Dr. Kipe’s Clinic on Wednesday.

“Dr. Kipe is one of our community’s most experienced physicians. His commitment to his patients and to Memorial Regional Health is unwavering,” Cathrine Blevins, vice chair of the Board of Trustees said in a statement.

Dr. Kipe’s employment agreement with Memorial Regional Health will begin on May 1.

He will continue seeing patients at his current location at 600 Russell St. and current patients should experience little change.

“I’m excited to be partnering with the hospital,” Kipe said in a statement. “This partnership will allow me to spend more of my time taking care of all my patient friends in Moffat County without having to spend the large amount of time that I currently spend on running a complicated medical business.”
