Another competition, another solid finish for the members of Moffat County Thunder Cheer.

The local cheer team’s latest appearance was at the CHEERSPORT Denver Grand Championships Sunday at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, as the smallest members of the team, the Minis, won their competition, with coaching by Amber Snow and Hannah Mannon.

“They all performed better than ever,” said head coach Valerie Davis. “The coaches have been working hard on bringing their skills to a higher level to compete with these big city teams and have done an excellent job. The minis went out there and rocked the floor.”

The older teams also performed stunts and tumbling against an even larger field of teams, the Senior squad taking fourth and the Youth team sixth in their respective brackets.

“We couldn’t be prouder with every performance,” Davis said. “These kids are amazing.”

The groups will continue to work toward a national competition in May in Las Vegas.

“We have truly been blessed this year and can’t wait for nationals,” Davis said.
