Moffat County students get creative with Homecoming dress-up days
Students across the Moffat County School District have been looking a little different these days.
As part of Homecoming week, Moffat County High School, Craig Middle School and local elementary schools have participated in dress-up days this week. MCHS and the elementary schools have been following the Homecoming theme of Disney, while CMS has its own set of days.
Formal wear was a must during Prince/Princess Day Tuesday, though some students came up with their own idea of royalty, whether as Disney character and real-life princess Pocahontas to Hollywood royalty Marilyn Monroe. Costumes ranged from Captain America to Captain Underpants during Superhero/Supervillain Day Wednesday.
On Thursday, full-size versions of Sheriff Woody and friendly monster James P. Sullivan could be found across campus on Pixar Day, for which teachers bent the rules a bit to dress as the minions from “Despicable Me.”
CMS offered Crazy Hair Day Tuesday and the choice of peaceniks or rural folks Wednesday with Dress Like a Redneck or a Hippie Day, for which some students utilized both styles, calling themselves “rippies” before Thursday’s Inside-Out or Backward Day.
As for Friday, parents, remind your kids that all good Bulldogs wear blue and white.
