Moffat County School board to talk budget, superintendent’s contract

— The Moffat County School District’s Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday in the board room of the administration building for a work session, and then again at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a regular meeting.

An executive session “with legal counsel to review district duties and obligations relative to the superintendent’s contract” is among the items on the agenda for the 6:30 p.m. meeting, and an action item to “extend or not extend superintendent contract” is also listed.

A public comment period of one-and-a-half hours is noted on the agenda for the 6:30 p.m. meeting, with a time of two minutes devoted to each person speaking.

Issues listed for discussion on the agenda for the 4 p.m. session include hiring a school board attorney, the superintendent’s contract and the budget.

The agenda can be found on the school district’s website at http://tinyurl.com/zuc7fkf.

The board has also scheduled a work session, beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, to conduct attorney interviews.
