Moffat County School Board seeks applicant for District 7 seat

The Moffat County School Board is seeking applicants for the board’s District 7 seat.

Qualified applicants must live within District 7, which begins at Colorado Street and extends east to Haughey Road. Residents interested in the position must send a letter of intent by Dec. 5 to Vicki Duncan, c/o Moffat County School District, 775 Yampa Ave., Craig, CO 81625.

They will then be mailed a list of questions, and they can choose which questions they will answer when the board interviews candidates during its 4 p.m. workshop Dec. 13 at the school district administrative building.

The date at which the board will select a candidate has yet to be determined, said Vicki Duncan, the Moffat County School District’s designated election official.

The District 7 seat remained open through the November election because no candidates stepped forward to run for the position. Andrea Camp currently holds the seat and will remain in it until a replacement is found.

For more information about the application process, call Duncan at 826-6261.
