Moffat County School Board continues meetings for superintendent selection

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

Monday afternoon saw the Moffat County School District Board of Education convene for an executive session meeting to further discuss the process of hiring a new superintendent to replace Joe Petrone.

The board also met for similar purposes Friday morning after interviews with the three final candidates last week. Because of the restrictions of executive session, board members were unable to discuss the details of either meeting.

The candidates include Moffat County Assistant Superintendent Brent Curtice; Jinger Haberer, director of student achievement for Aurora Public Schools; and Gregory Fromm, assistant superintendent for Coachella Valley Unified School District in Thermal, Calif.

The earliest the board could announce a choice for superintendent would be Thursday, but that also depends on whether members are ready to do so at that time. The regular monthly school board meeting is scheduled for Feb. 27.
