Competing a tough field of runners, Emily Womble, who last week took first in the 3A Region 1 eventwho last week took first in the 3A Region 1 event, had the best Bulldog ranking of the weekend, placing 14th at a time of 20 minutes, 17.50 seconds. Among the boys, Brandon Beason pulled ahead of Riley Allen to claim the top Moffat County finish at 43rd place and 17:57.16, while Allen was 45th at 17:58.78.
Ashley Suits and Isiac Roop each posted season bests at state while achieving rankings of 46th and 68th and dual athlete Connor Scranton took 71st.
Chris Carrouth and Carter Severson rounded out the boys’ results, 76th and 109th.
The girls team placed seventh and the boys eighth out of 20 schools, both 3A races featuring 149 runners.

It wouldn’t be a league event for Moffat County High School track and field athletes without bringing home some hardware, and the Bulldogs earned some metal last weekend.
