Moffat County Locals: Yampa Valley Fiberworks supports 2-year-old spinner Aunaka Moon

Aunaka Moon, age 2, learns to spin wool on the patio of the Moon family business — Yampa Valley Fiberworks.
Sasha Nelson

Wool production is a legacy product in the Yampa Valley. The fiber mill at Yampa Valley Fiberworks continues to support local producers and artisans in developing the industry. A group of spinners regularly meet on the mill patio, and over the summer they were joined by one the county’s newest spinners — 2-year-old Aunaka Moon.
