Moffat County Jail: Program needs bikes
To the editor:
For the last three years, the Moffat County Jail has collected used bicycles and the inmates have refurbished them to be donated to local organizations, local churches, needy families and several Native American tribes who we house.
This past season we refinished 75 bikes and delivered them for Christmas.
We would like to send out a special thanks to Dean Trujillo and to J&R Cyclery for their time and help that they donated to make this project a success.
The jail does this program at Christmas and again in the spring.
If you have any bikes that you don’t use or the kids have outgrown, please contact us at 826-2313, and we will get them refurbished and donated to needy kids.
