Moffat County High School football team to gather Friday

Meeting will include health, safety checks, food, fun

Craig Daily Press Staff Report

The Moffat County High School football team will be meeting Friday to finalize pre-season details before practices officially begin.

Starting at 3 p.m. at MCHS, players will receive baseline concussion tests from medical professionals from The Memorial Hospital. All players, as well as all athletes in Moffat County School District, must have proof that they have received a physical examination before being allowed to compete in the sport.

At 4 p.m., coach Keith Gille will meet with players to outline their goals and expectations for the upcoming season. He will also conduct safety checks on equipment such as pads and helmets.

Players must bring in any personal gear they plan to use, and they must receive approval for it.

A barbecue will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a team activity from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thunder Rolls Bowling Center. Players need to bring $10 to cover bowling costs.

Practices will begin Monday, with two-a-day sessions at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at MCHS.

For more information, call Gille at 970-597-0344.
