Members of the nonprofit organization — which focuses on providing affordable housing throughout the country — are riding from Seattle to Washington DC this summer, with many stops along the way to do good based on the program’s tenets.

The Orange Ride will come to Craig this Tuesday as about 35 riders enter town and meet with locals at a barbecue at 6:30 p.m. in Veteran’s Memorial Park complete with introductions from Craig Chamber of Commerce and local leaders.

The following day will be a workday with participants lending a hand in many projects around town, including repairing and maintaining homes and other buildings.

Riders will depart July 7, while the wave of the Blue Ride will visit Craig July 12.

The Fuller Center is seeking people in the area who might need help with labor projects or those who want to offer their services.
