Moffat County Commissioner John Kinkaid announced Thursday night that he plans to seek a second term.

In a news release, Kinkaid stated he gave the decision much thought but the last three years of service to the county have been very fulfilling.

Kinkaid cited his work in bringing the Environmental Protection Agency’s regional office to visit Craig for a community meeting and his efforts in pursuing the Department of the Interior during when Colowyo was threatened.

“I love being County Commissioner, it’s a great fit for me,” he said. “I like being able to help people and get things done.”
