CRAIG — Moffat County Assessor Chuck Cobb has declared his intent to seek re-election in 2018.

“It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my decision to seek re-election for the office of Moffat County assessor,” Cobb wrote in a letter of intent he delivered to the newspaper Friday, Jan. 12.

Cobb was uncontested in his 2014 bid for the office. He was the director of golf operations at Yampa Valley Golf Course for some 30 years, served 10 years on the Moffat County School Board and worked as a broker assistant in the real estate business prior to his election in 2014.

In his letter of intent, Cobb thanked the voters of Moffat County before making a pledge.

“It is my pledge to you that I will continue to serve the property owners of Moffat County in the same professional capacity that I have since first being elected,” he wrote. “I am hopeful you will allow me to the opportunity to continue in that service for a second term as your assessor.”
