Minnesota man tricked into paying woman’s travel expenses to Craig: On the record March 6

12:54 a.m. On the 2100 block of Redwood Place, officers with the Craig Police Department assisted the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office on a report of possible domestic violence.
1:10 a.m. On the 500 block of School Street, a man reported his ex-wife was harassing him. She allegedly took his phone, which was later returned. He said the harassment has been ongoing.
1:34 a.m. At the west Kum & Go, officers responded to a drunken pedestrian. Two men were reportedly seen walking, and one appeared to be very intoxicated. Officers spoke to the men and, eventually, requested an ambulance for one of the men, who had fallen.
8:05 a.m. Officers responded to a Safe2Tell call, an anonymous reporting line for youth.
10:14 a.m. In Craig, officers responded to a mental health issue.
10:21 a.m. At the Public Safety Center, a person reported a possible identity theft. Somebody had opened an account in the person’s name. The incident is under investigation.
11:29 a.m. A Minnesota man reported he had been trying to help a woman travel to Minnesota. The woman reportedly told him she had gotten on the wrong flight and landed in Denver, then, somehow ended up in Craig. She told him she was staying in a hotel in Craig. Officers were unable to locate the woman and believe the man might have been taken advantage of.
1:27 p.m. On the 400 block of Washington Street, officers responded to a disturbance. A caller said a man was en route to her location intent on assaulting another man. Officers arrived on the scene, and the would-be assailant was not there. Officers asked the woman to call if the man did come to the property. The man later did arrive. Officers were called, but he was gone when they returned.
2:05 p.m. On the 900 block of West Eighth Drive, officers responded to a report of possible financial abuse of an elderly person. The incident is under investigation.
4:19 p.m. At Columbine Apartments, officers responded to a possible disturbance. When officers arrived, they found that a mother and her children were making noise in the hallway. No crime was found.
5:08 p.m. On the 1100 block of West Sixth Street, officers responded a reported disturbance. They found no disturbance, but a woman was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing alcohol while underage.
8:34 p.m. On the 400 block of Stout Street, a woman reported she heard a loud boom. She called to try to identify the source of the sound. Officers had no explanation.
10:03 p.m. On the 800 block of East Seventh Street, a woman reported a vehicle had followed her home two nights in a row. She requested extra patrols.
10:58 p.m. On the 300 block of Elmwood Street, officers responded to a noise complaint. Officers warned the offending parties to turn down their stereo.
11:58 p.m. On the 400 block of East Fourth Street, an 18-year-old Craig man was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply with a traffic citation.
12:14 a.m. Near the intersection of West First Street and Colorado State Highway 13, police in Craig responded to a traffic stop. Craig police said they issued a bicyclist a citation. Police responded to at least one other traffic stop Monday.
