Memorial Regional Health has been recognized with a 2023 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in quality.

Compiled by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Awards honor rural hospitals that rank in the 75th percentile or above in quality, outcomes and/or patient perspective.

“I am incredibly proud that Memorial Regional Health has been honored with the 2023 Performance Leadership Award in Quality,” MRH CEO Jennifer Riley said in a statement. “This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional health care services to our community. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented team at MRH. We remain steadfast in our mission to deliver high-quality care, and this award motivates us to continue striving for excellence in health for rural northwest Colorado.”

The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance Index, which is a comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance.

According to MRH, the index is relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health around the country to measure and monitor performance across several areas impacting hospital operations and finance.

“Wherever we go in rural America, we witness first-hand the commitment, determination and compassion with which rural hospitals serve their communities,” said Michael Topchik, national leader for the Chartis Center for Rural Health. “Rural health care truly is mission-driven.”
