MCHS basketball team to throw fundraiser
Craig — The Moffat County boys basketball team is out to raise money.
The Bulldogs are hosting a single fundraising event for this upcoming season, and the team is going all out.
“We are having a classic style Greek dinner,” coach Steve Maneotis said. “We will follow it up with a great act of comedy.”
The event will take place Sunday, Nov. 18. The Dinner is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. followed by comedian Greg Bennick at 6 p.m.
The prices are as follows:
$45 single adult – dinner and show
$80 adult couples – dinner and show
$120 family pack (two adults, two children) – dinner and show
$12 single adults – show only
$6 students – show only
Maneotis said the event is key to enable the team to make the necessary changes needed for this season, but it also allows the public a chance to meet the basketball team and to catch a view of their new uniforms.
“It is a great way to get the word out,” he said. “It lets the public know about Moffat County basketball.”
Moffat County is showing a sharp increase in gonorrhea cases after years of declining incidents of the sexually transmitted disease.
