Mary Jo Brown: Post-Christmas news
December 30, 2008
Christmas came, and Christmas went. Hope you all had a good, if not merry, Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, I went on the senior bus to see the light displays around town and out to the Gabbert residence. I want to thank Clem Mascarenas for taking time out from his Christmas to take us out. I also want to thank all of you for your lovely cards and Christmas news and letters. Always glad to hear from you.
As usual, we get junk mail. Hopefully, people will stop and think about the kind of mail they send out during the holidays and how it affects others. The timing of that kind of mail is not appreciated, especially at Christmas.
Hopefully, the new year will bring in good news for us all. We hope the Christmas spirit will be around a long time, and this will be a better place and world for us all.
I have birthdays: Don Seick, Haley Bolin-Vangrandt, Robert McKinney, Sophia Grieves, Maxine Martin and Dee White.
Get well/speedy recovery to Roy Southard, Eloise Waters, Marilyn McKinney and Jennifer Mann.
