Mary Jo Brown: Life is like cherries

Mary Jo Brown

The saying “Life is like a bowl full of cherries, full of pits” comes to mind this morning. Listening to people talking about their problems and other people’s.

Cherries, what a delightful sight. Until you take a bite, that is, and sometimes bite into a pit. That’s enough of that.

Have the option to eat more or go onto something else.

Life is not always nice or easy. Choose the option to keep going, maybe fix it or try something different.

I find life’s choices aren’t easy a lot of the time, and there are many forks in the road.

With my luck, I make right turns where I should have went left.

Birthdays, like life, go on. This week, I have birthdays for Larry Keller, Don Seick and Shirley Rogers.

Get well/speedy recovery to Elsie Chase, Eloise Waters, Ella Murphy, Gabrielle Montanez and Betty Reece.

The VFW senior dinner takes place at 5 p.m. Saturday at the VFW post. The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I.

Bingo will follow. Bring a friend.
