Mary Jo Brown: Going through doors

Mary Jo Brown

Have you ever thought of how many doors you have gone through so far?

Starting with the door of life, you came in to this world and you’ll go out of it, thus shutting that door and giving in to eternity.

In the meantime, there are numerous other doors and variety due to where you go and what you do.

This week, some are opening the door to graduating into the future with high hopes, excitement and mixed feelings. I, too, have mixed feelings. Gladness for the seniors and sadness because I won’t be able to see my grandson and some of the others I know graduate.

But, the door to happiness for them is open.

I have birthdays for Joe Gallegos, May McIntyre, Bruce Wood, Sarah Matheson, Judy Wheeler, Audrey Mahaffle, Dorothy Cox and Bob Grubb.

Get well/speedy recovery to Walt Herod and to all I may have missed.

Yampa Valley Piecemakers Quilt Guild is 6:30 p.m. today at Sunset Meadows I.

There will be no meal or bus service at Sunset Meadows I because of the Memorial Day holiday Monday.

The noon potluck is Friday at Sunset Meadows I.

Bingo will follow.
