Man alleges assault at party
A 22-year-old Craig man reported to the Moffat County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday that he had been assaulted during a party.
Jason Otis Miles, 22, attended a party Aug. 21 at an address on Moffat County Road 7 where the assault allegedly took place.
Moffat County Sheriff’s Department investigator K.C. Hume confirmed a party was held on that date, but would not comment on specifics of the case.
When Miles went into the Sheriff’s Department to report the assault, he said he was assaulted by a group of high school students at the party who also attempted to start him on fire.
Miles, contacted Thursday, declined to comment.
The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the reported assault and party.
