— Beyond the Wreckage band members were in their element Friday night as they performed for a hometown crowd of nearly 100 people at the Craig Pavilion.

Audience members sang along to many of the songs played by the metal group. There was even a mosh pit and some crowd surfing.

Attendee Alex Bulla, 17, said she’s been a fan of the Craig band ever since they formed several years ago.

“If you’re a teen in town then you know them,” Bulla said.

Throughout the show it appeared Bulla was right. Lead singer Shane Burdette often directed his microphone toward the audience as they sang lyrics with him.

Guitarist Taylor Fredrickson said it was an amazing feeling to be back on stage and feed on the energy of the crowd.

At the end of the show, Burdette thanked those who came for their support.

“If anyone’s ever found some comfort or a safety zone in our music, then that is the greatest thing I can ever imagine,” Burdette told the crowd. “We love each and every one of you guys. You mean so much to us.”

“Seeing everybody I know and grew up with, everyone being right there at the front with me and screaming along to every word I wrote means so much to me,” Burdette said afterwards.
