Letter: Correcting flawed manners

To the editor:

This is for the socially deficient:

  1. Think before you speak.

  2. Don’t be loud and speak over a crowd. We know you’re there.

  3. Don’t gossip. People like their secrets kept.

  4. Be kind and gracious no matter what.

  5. Don’t act like you know it all. We know you really don’t.

  6. Don’t hold grudges. It makes you old.

  7. No one wants to hear you complain about your family all in one breath.

  8. The less you say, the less someone has to hold against you.

  9. When someone is telling you a problem, don’t interrupt with 10 problems, as if you were listening.

  10. Grasp a conversation slowly, and just breathe.
