Kathryne Finley Stinson

Dolores, Colo., resident Kathryne Finley Stinson, died Aug. 10, 2003, at her home. She was 93.

Stinson was born July 12, 1910, in Craig, to William Penn and Muriel (Bryan) Finley.

Prior to moving to the Dolores area in 1994, Stinson resided in Craig, where she served as a clerk in the Moffat County Assessor’s office. She was a 72-year member of P.E.O., Chapter AJ.



She had a love of the outdoors and especially enjoyed

going to the mountains and traveling.



Stinson is survived by her daughters Louis Stinson, of Dolores, and Nancy (Denis) Keleher, of Denver; three grandchildren Siobhan Keleher and companion, Stuart Compton, of San Diego, Calif., Andrea Keleher, of Denver, and Matthew (Jennifer) Keleher, of Seattle, Wash.; and her brother, Bill (Eleanor) Finley, of Cortez.

Stinson was preceded in death by her husband, Thatcher M. Stinson; her sister, Marcella Downs; and her parents.

Services will be held at a later date in Castle Rock. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Kathryne Stinson with the Delores Senior Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are being made through the Ertel Funeral Home in Cortez.
