Johnnie L. Bennight

Craig resident Johnnie L. Bennight died Nov. 26, 2002, at The Memorial Hospital in Craig. He was 52.

Bennight was born May 17, 1950, in French Camp, Calif., to Johnnie L. Bennight Sr. and MayBell (Hardin) Bennight.

He is a veteran of the Vietnam war.

On June 10, 1988, he married Judy Bowie at Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Bennight has been a resident of Craig for more than three years and has worked as a dock worker, loading and unloading trucks. He was a member of Teamsters local 439.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Bennight is survived by his wife, Judy, of Craig; daughters, Cindy (Joseph) Smith, of Stockton, Calif., and Misty Bennight, of Stockton; sisters, Susan North, of Craig, and Ella Lorene Moore, of Stockton; and a granddaughter, Alexis Aguilar.

Services were Nov. 29, 2002, at Grant Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Rod Compton officiating. Interment followed at Craig Cemetery.
