John Husband: Art’n the Park’n Lot deemed a success
To the editor:
The Northwest Colorado Chapter of Parrot Heads sends a warm tropical thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Art’n the Park’n Lot fundraiser a success! The weather Saturday was very warm, but the brief shower in the afternoon brought some welcome relief. The kids who participated in the hula hoop and limbo contests provided a humorous diversion for participants and spectators alike.
We want to thank our local businesses and sponsors who donated goods and services that made it possible to put on this year’s event: J.W. Snacks Bar & Grill, KRAI, Craig Daily Press, Samuelson’s True Value Hardware, Roto Rooter, Mountain West Insurance and 1340 Productions. Thanks to the Moffat County Fairgrounds and Loudy-Simpson Park crews for helping us with stage components, tables and chairs. Thank you to the vendors who set up booths and everyone who donated items to our silent auction. And thank you to the musicians who provided a variety of musical acts throughout the day to help set the festive mood.
NCCPH uses funds raised at this annual event to support music in the schools, scholarships for deserving students and various community, environmental and river-related projects. We are proud to serve Craig and Moffat County and are very grateful for the support we receive from the community.
