Joe Ence: Thank you, Kerry Moe

To the editor:

I would like to publicly thank Kerry Moe for donating her time and talent to organizing the postcard campaign mailing to Colorado Public Utilities Commission board members.

I believe her message was well written and the invitation to visit our area was sincere.

As a lifelong resident and second-generation coal miner, I believe the passage of Colorado House Bill 10-1365 will have long-term, disastrous effects on the Yampa Valley area.

But, even more concerning is the process this administration used to slip this bill through.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

There are at least a dozen things that upset or offend me with H.B. 10-1365 that I will not address here because it would get too long and few would

read it.

So, I will just conclude with a sincere thank you, Kerry, for your leadership in the community and for using your skills and energy to help us.
