Jerry Robert Morrison

Craig resident Jerry Robert Morrison died March 19, 2003, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was 61.

Morrison was born May 30, 1941, in St. Paul, Minn., to Harvey R. and Beatrice (Nolton) Morrison. His family moved to Craig in 1949 from Steamboat Springs.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp., and on Sept. 12, 1975, he married Donna Harvey in Craig. He worked for ColoWyo Coal Company as a truck driver. He was a member of the First Christian Church and he enjoyed camping, shooting, painting and bonsai trees.



Morrison is survived by his wife, Donna Morrison, of Craig; mother, Bea Morrison, of Grand Junction, Colo.; brothers Dr. John (Ann) Morrison, of Moscow, Idaho, and Cliff (Audrey) Morrison, of Columbus, Mont.; and his dog, Tuffy.

Services were March 24, 2003, at First Christian Church with Beryl Wright officiating. Organist was Anne Carr and soloist was Wanda Brown.



Selections were “In the Garden,” The Lord’s Prayer,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”

Honorary pallbearers were all his many friends.

Interment was in Craig Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in care of Grant Mortuary.
