Craig’s well-known photographer extraordinaire Janele Husband was honored with two awards at the National Photography Show in Louisville for her photo titled “Mystery Dancers.”

The judges awarded Janele first place in the Still Life and Abstract category and she also won people’s choice award over all other entries at the show.

The Louisville Arts Association recognized Janele’s work at the Louisville Center for the Arts on May 30.

“I was thrilled to have a photograph juried into this national show. Being awarded first place in the Still Life/Abstract category was such a surprise. Finding out ‘Mystery Dancers’ received the most votes from people attending the show for People’s Choice Award was a huge honor,” Janele said.

Janele submitted her work in four other national contests, but this was the first one that accepted her work.

Mystery Dancers was photographed at Janele and John Husband’s great nephew’s wedding in Knoxville, Tennessee on Oct. 10, 2010.
