Irene Beard: Quilt guild started

— To the editor:

We have started a quilt guild in Craig called Yampa Valley Piecemakers. We meet every third Tuesday in the Sunset Meadows I lunch room area. We assemble at 6:30 p.m. with business, programs, helpful hints and show and tell for those of us who are fortunate enough to finish a project that month.

We invite any and all who would like to join us as we have several great hands on classes and programs that are of interest to the ladies.

In April, we have Joyce Beckett in to demonstrate hand quilting, Madelyn Vail will come in May with a demonstration on applique and in June, Karol Bullen will speak about the history and restoration of dolls.

This gives you a general idea what happens.

We always have great goodies and lots of laughter, so feel free to join us.
