Friday, Feb. 2

7:23 a.m. On the 400 block of Rose Street, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. A white Dodge Durango appeared to have crashed into a trash can, and the vehicle was abandoned in an alley. A person was contacted, and he was going to go retrieve his vehicle.

9:30 a.m. On the 500 block of Yampa Ave, officers responded to a report of suspicious items. Eight syringes were found in a dumpster.  

10:29 a.m. Near Walker Street and East Victory Way, officers responded to a report that a tenant had broken a window and screen. Officers were asked to respond to file a report of damages.

12:08 p.m. On the 800 block of W. First Street, officers responded to reports of a father concerned that his adult son was missing. He said his son had not been seen in a month, when normally, the father sees him two or three times per week.

12:12 p.m. On the 2000 block of W. Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a newer-model gray Nissan almost hitting a person. A citation was issued.

2:07 p.m. In Craig, officers responded to a report possible elder financial abuse.

3:54 p.m. On the 900 block of Finley Lane, officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident at the school. Two students and parents agreed to talk about the incident. No other action was taken.

7:29 p.m. On the 400 block of Tucker Street, officers responded to a report of two suspicious vehicles parked near the sally port by the U.S. Immigration and Enforcement building. ICE agents were contacted. The drivers moved their cars across the street.

7:59 p.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a theft. A shoplifter was issued a summons.

9:07 p.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a theft. A shoplifter was issued a summons.

11:09 p.m. On the 2000 block of W. Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a theft. Female was issued a summons for county theft.

Saturday, Feb. 3

12:14 a.m. In Craig, officers responded to a report of domestic violence.

8:04 a.m. Near West Fourth and Breeze Streets, officers found a bicycle lying on the ground near an empty lot. The bike didn't appear to have a serial number. The owner is unknown. The bike was booked as found property at the Public Safety Center.

3:08 p.m. On the 700 block of Tucker Street, officers removed cones left on the road.

5:28 p.m. On the 300 block of Hawthorne Street, officers responded to a call from a man reporting that his vehicle was being egged.

6:10 p.m. On the 2000 block of West Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a theft. The suspected shoplifter, who is known to officers, left. The case is under investigation.

8:10 p.m. On the 600 block of Wickes Avenue, officers responded to a report of a theft of electronics from a residence at the Columbine Apartments. The owner of the stolen goods requested to speak with an officer.

10:01 p.m. On the 700 block of East Victory Way, officers responded to a report of a theft. Two men, one old and one young, were seen leaving with a bag and hot dogs. The store clerk was going to speak to a manager to see if they wished to press charges. The clerk thought the parties would come back after midnight and agreed to call back if they did.

Sunday, Feb. 4

10:13 a.m. On the 300 block of Colo. Highway 13, officers responded to a report of a vending machine that was possibly tampered with. A customer was found in the vicinity of the open machine. The person reporting the incident was unsure if money or products were missing. They intend to inventory and call again if items are missing.

11:35 a.m. Near mile post 91 on Colo. 13, officers responded to a report of a white Ford Super Duty with business logo and Wyoming plates that passed on the right side in no passing zone. A complaint was not signed, and the trooper was unable to locate the vehicle.

11:37 a.m. On the 6000 block of Heather Street, officers responded to a report of a crash causing property damage. Someone hit a vehicle, damaging a tail light. The person responsible left a note with their name and phone number. The person with the damaged vehicle requested that an officer contact the responsible person.

11:41 a.m. On the 700 block of Barclay Street, officers responded to a report of a disturbance. Yelling was heard in the background prior to the line being disconnected. Upon investigation, a heated argument between a mother and daughter about stealing money had ensued. No evidence of a crime was found.

3:24 p.m. Near West Ninth Street and Pershing Street, officers located a missing child. Two young boys wandered off. They told a concerned person they were going to Walmart to find a sister. The person called officers, who were able to locate an address for the children, and they were returned to their parents.

8:24 p.m.
On the 600 block of Rose Street, officers responded to a report of shots fired. A woman said she thought she had heard a single gunshot. Officers reported seeing multiple fireworks going off in the area.

8:28 p.m. On the 500 block of Rose Street, officers responded to a report of shots fired. The person reporting the incident said they had heard what sounded like four good-sized gunshots in the past 20 minutes. The person did not know the direction from which the sound originated. The person was advised that officers had seen fireworks go off in the area, but the person reporting didn't think it was fireworks.
